Notifications and overdue fines
E-mail notices
Notifications of approaching due dates, reservations, and reminders are sent to you by email.
An email is sent to you automatically 48 hours before the expected due date. As a reminder, the expected return date of the documents is accessible on your user account.
At the reception of this email, you have two days to extend your loans or bring back the documents.
A first reminder is sent to you by e-mail automatically the day after the expected due date.
If documents are still not returned, you will subsequently receive two more reminders, resulting in overdue fines.
For CNSMDL students, faculty and staff: all notices from the library are sent to your institution's e-mail address.
For external users: All library notices are sent to the email address you provided when registering.
Note: You are still responsible for returning materials on time, even if you do not receive email notices.
You are responsible for checking your library account for up-to-date information.
Late fees
Penalties amount to 0.10 € per day of delay and per document from the second reminder onwards; they are to be paid at the Reading Room reception desk in cash or by cheque made out to Agent comptable du CNSMD de Lyon.
Waiving of fines
Fines are waived only in special circumstances, for example, a justified medical situation.
Please note that not being aware of the library's policies or not having received an email reminder is not an acceptable reason for the waiving of a fine.
