23 070 documents are on display in the reading room and freely accesible for consultation : collected editions, reference works, dictionaries, encyclopaedias and sound recordings. The Nadia Boulanger Collection, also kept in this room, is accessible on request.
53,000 documents are on loan to registered readers : scores, books, CDs and DVDs.
The items available for loan are accessible on a self-serve basis.
Two computers with access to the online catalogue are at your disposal at the back of the lending room to help you to find the documents.
A piano is available in this area to sightread scores not available for borrowing.
This area is also available to consult multimedia documents (CDs, DVDs, music or videos from databases to which the media library subscribes) and for small group work meetings.
This area is accessible upon booking via a planning displayed at the entrance.
You may consult the latest issues of the journals to which the media library subscribes (about 80 titles) in the periodicals room.
More than 11,500 issues of periodicals, dedicated to the fields of music, dance and pedagogy are stored in the library. These issues are indexed in the catalogue and consultable in the reading room on request.
